Consultation of Investment in Health Promotion (CIHP) in collaboration with District People Committee of Cua Lo of Nghe An province, has implemented an action research titled ‘Integrated model on gender-based violence in clinic and community settings’, in 7 communes of Cua Lo town. The project is funded by the Ford Foundation for the period of 2006 - 2009.
Aiming to share research findings and effectiveness of the pilot model, as well as to exchange experiences on intervention models on gender-based violence/ domestic violence prevention, CIHP organizes workshop ‘How to effectively support women who have been experiencing violence in the context of contemporary Vietnam?’.
Time: 25 - 26/10/ 2008
Venue: Cua Lo town, Nghe An province
Workshop’s objectives are to:
o Discuss supportive system to women who have been experiencing gender-based violence/ domestic violence
o Share result/ effectiveness of intervention models (model design and implementation), including community and policies advocacy
o Exchange lessons learnt from models of gender-based violence/ domestic violence prevention
We invite researchers, program managers, project officers from Domestic Violence Prevention Network (DOVIPNET), local and international NGOs working in the fields of gender-based violence/ domestic violence prevention to give presentations and register to participate in the workshop. Registration form and guideline for presentations will be found at the end of this invitation letter.
Deadline for registration and presentation submission: 3/10/2008
A limited number of scholarships will be provided to applicants who are selected to give presentations.
